Birria Boy
Sophie Hart Studio designed Birria Boy in Woolloongabba to feel warm, textural and alive — like stepping into a buzzing taqueria at golden hour. Embracing the venue’s heritage bones, we highlighted the exposed brick and soaring ceilings, layering in earthy terracottas and deep clay tones to echo traditional Mexican materials, all grounded by the glow of the woodfire oven.
The burgundy tiled bar anchors the space as its social heart — rich, tactile and made for gathering over margaritas and shared plates. The neon MEXICAN sign adds a bold, electric energy, casting a cinematic red wash across the brick and steel and infusing the room with that unmistakable late-night street vibrancy. The result is a space designed to feel joyful, immersive and full of life.
